The brief

We built a soft, layered base first: a sage-green sectional and matching swivel chairs, walnut case goods with blackened-steel frames, and a moody rug that grounds the open plan. Then came the color, sunny yellow lumbar pillows and abstract art, deep navy velvet, and a few Denver touches like the National Parks book and snake plants that tie the rooms to the mountains beyond.
