Denver new-construction living room layering a modern sectional with antique accents and a tile fireplace, designed by Kimberly Gibson

The brief

The strategy was contrast. Against the home's clean architecture and warm neutral envelope, we layered genuine antiques and vintage finds, a carved teal Louis-style chair, aged iron candlesticks, a reclaimed tin panel, hammered-metal accents, alongside comfortable modern upholstery and a sculptural concrete-and-gilt chandelier. Patterned encaustic tile and grasscloth wallpaper add texture; a soft palette of taupe, cream, and blush keeps everything calm and cohesive.
